An Introduction to Renewable Energy Solutions

!: Nice An Introduction to Renewable Energy Solutions

We hear so much in the media about the pending energy crisis and reducing our dependency on sources that cannot be renewed. We hear that our children and grandchildren will find their fossil fuels used up. Renewable energy solutions continue to provide and produce power over and over again.

This article will discuss three of the easiest-to-use and most common renewable energy solutions including: hydro solutions, wind solutions, and solar solutions.

HYDRO

Over 70% of our planet is covered in water. Why shouldn't we use it to create electricity? Hydro energy ("hydro" means coming from water) can easily be converted into electricity for use in powering vehicles and other electrical equipment.

Currently, 90% of the "green" power produced is via dams built to tap into the muscle of water. Hydro electric dams can generate electricity on a large scale. One concern that comes with an increase in our use of hydro power is that it may adversely affect plants and animals that need those water sources to survive. Finding the proper balance between using these plentiful renewable energy solutions and protecting our plants and wildlife is an ongoing project.

WIND

Another source of clean, renewable power is wind. Man has used the wind to help with his labor since before the birth of Christ. Windmills helped with such tasks as pumping water and towing boats. As society became more modern and mechanical, we began to use wind to generate electricity.

Even though they became unpopular for a while, wind turbines and windmills have always been capable of producing tons of megawatts of electricity. Using a windmill on your property can help do away with the need for other sources of power. Wind generated power may be one of the more viable renewable energy solutions to helping our children and grandchildren avoid a debilitating energy crisis.

SOLAR

The sun has always been a source of heat and light for our planet. New technology harnesses the sun's light to "fuel" all sorts of machines that make our lives easier. Solar energy is the most abundant type of energy. It is free to everyone, everywhere. Solar renewable energy solutions can be uses power homes, and even entire neighborhoods.

Not only will it lower your electric bill, but you will again be helping your children and grandchildren solve their future fossil fuel problems. Solar power solutions include solar heating systems, solar lighting systems, solar cookers, solar dryers, and more.

In addition to being cost-effective and healthy for the environment, solar power solutions are low-maintenance and give you a reasonably quick return on your investment. This saves you time and effort as well as money, especially as the system begins to pay for itself. The power solution for your home could be solar, as it has been for many families.

Buying Traditional Country Cookers

!±8± Buying Traditional Country Cookers

Country cookers, also known as range cookers, can very easily become the heart of your home and the soul of your kitchen, breathing life and style into an otherwise dull room. These cookers are often the focal point for your living space. And there is no doubt that these impressive appliances deserve the spotlight.

Why are these appliances so widely desired? Well, aside from their impressive-looking nature, their cooking capacity and abilities are vast. Depending on the model you choose range cookers offer a variety of cooking options including griddles, wok burners, fish burners, rotisseries, conventional ovens, fan ovens, slow cookers, and even extra Storage compartments.

Country cookers either offer several oven and grill cavities or one single massive oven cavity. These suit different situations, for example the multiple cavity oven is great for cooking several courses at once, whilst restaurant or clubs which cook in bulk could benefit from a single cavity. These large ovens are also amazing when you're cooking very large pizzas!

Newworld cookers are just one manufacturer of these country cookers. They are made in the two styles mentioned above; multiple cavities and single cavity.

Single cavity Newworld cookers

The Newworld DF91 dual fuel range cooker is one of the single cavity Newworld cookers. It comes in a contemporary stainless steel colour, and has an electric fan oven with a built in grill. These dual fuel newworld cookers come complete with a six burner gas hob and cast iron pan supports.

The DF91 main cavity capacity is a whopping 100 litres, which means plenty of space to cook for the masses.

Multiple cavity country cookers

The Newworld 100DF dual fuel range cooker is a more classic-looking range cooker model. It comes in a very stylish charcoal colour which is sure to match the traditional or contemporary kitchen. This range cooker has an electric fan oven with a gas hob. Fan ovens are very useful for easy cooking as the temperature is uniform within the cavity whereas gas ovens tend to be hotter at the top and cooler towards the bottom.

The 100DF main cavity capacity is 28 litres, which is ideal for a single course. It also benefits from a second fan oven cavity, where you can get dessert on the go. The third cavity of these Newworld cookers homes a grill while the fourth is a convenient Storage compartment.

Who should buy a country cooker?

No cottage or rural home is complete without a country cooker, however do make sure you measure the space you have available before ordering as these appliances can be very large. Because today's range cookers are so variable in appearance, don't worry if you're going for a more modern look. Stainless steel or black country cookers will match the contemporary kitchen perfectly.
